Not a compliance claim
DocsRouter does not currently advertise HIPAA compliance, a BAA, Private Link, dedicated containers, or zero-retention processing. Confirm contractual and technical requirements before sending protected health information.
Healthcare documents can combine handwriting, abbreviations, tables, and scanned pages. Use /v1/ocr only after testing representative, appropriately de-identified samples and reviewing the relevant provider terms.
The API can return extracted text, page-level output, and requested table data. It does not convert output to FHIR resources, interpret medical meaning, or validate lab values.
Build application controls for:
- required-field and unit validation
- patient and encounter matching
- clinical terminology normalization
- audit logging and access control
- human review before clinical use
Model descriptions are not medical-accuracy evidence. Keep OCR output separate from clinical decision-making until it has been independently verified.
